Liv Online (2023)

‘Liv Online’ is a short film following a young social media influencer named ‘Olivia’ as she films for her YouTube channel. However, a weather report shown early in the film indicates that a dangerous storm is approaching. Unknowingly, Olivia continues about her day as chaos unfolds around her.

This short film is partly inspired by the recent alarming studies around climate change. We as a society are well informed about the news and the dangers that face our earth yet some of us choose to ignore it.

Olivia is a characterisation of those people whilst also reflects other themes around capitalism, greed, and the culture around social media.

For this film, I began by conceptualising and writing an original script, creating a compelling foundation for the story.

As director, I collaborated closely with actors to bring the narrative to life, guiding performances that captured the film's vision. I meticulously crafted storyboards and shot lists to ensure a clear and cohesive visual plan.

Taking on a leadership role, I managed the team and production, fostering a collaborative and efficient workflow.

Additionally, I showcased my VFX and post-production skills, enhancing the film's final presentation with dynamic and polished visuals. I also created my own poster for the film as I had done with my other films.
